Eggstravaganza 2010
Coopers' annual Eggstravaganza was held the weekend before Easter and this year's did not disappoint! Asher enjoyed the egg hunt, bounce houses and slide, train ride, and pony rides. Nana and Papa joined us this year and we all had a great morning in the beautiful Spring weather.

Shaving
Asher's friend, Hudson, gave him the most fun little shaving kit for his birthday. He is thrilled to be able to shave just like Daddy...
and Mommy!

Its My Party & I'll Cry If I Want To: Take TWO
We celebrated Asher's second birthday with friends at family at The Little Gym on March 13th. It wasn't really on my radar to have a party for him until I heard how great the parties were there and that 2 is really the perfect age for it. Since he loves his LG classes so much we decided to go for it and have fun with all his little friends. I was a little concerned about how he would handle all the attention, but he did great and had a blast!
Unfortunately, much like his first birthday, the fun came to a screeching halt in the children's ER at Medical City a few hours later. After the party, our families went back to our house for pizza and presents and all the kids played outside for a while. Asher started struggling to breath and was taking far too many short, shallow breaths. We started breathing treatments and paged the pulmonologist who gave us a protocol to follow and call him back. We started the treatment plan, but Asher's temp shot up to 103.7 and he wasn't recovering, so we headed to the ER. There's nothing quite like the ER nurse taking one look at your child and ushering you right back past all the other waiting patients. Scary. They quickly assessed him and determined he wasn't doing well, but wasn't in any immediate danger. After meds, a chest xray, more breathing treatments, and oral steroids, we finally got to come home. It was a long night!
