Time Out!

Asher had his first time out today. Actually it was probably more of a Mommy time out. Up until now, the most we have done to discipline is firmly tap his hand with two fingers after repeatedly having to say "no". Apparently, this excercise is now hilarious because he just laughs and laughs. So, after figuring out how to remove the outlet cover and laughing at me tapping his hand, he was off to time out. I'm not quite sure how effective it was with me peeking in to take his picture though.

Swimming

Asher started swimming lessons with Daddy last month and he loves it! He has really taken to the water and enjoys all the splashing and kicking. Yesterday was his first time to officially go under the water. Each week, they will add another second to the time he stays under. With all the time we spend at the lake during the summer, we are thrilled that he is comfortable in the water. Of course, he will always have a life jacket on at the lake, but it is reassuring to know he won't panic if he ever slips off the dock or boat unexpectedly.

All Clear

Although you can't tell from the picture, Asher was given a clean bill of health today! His ears looked great and his lungs sounded clear. He gained 13 ounces in less than a week; his appetite has obviously returned. We are so thankful to have our happy little boy back.
He did not nap at all before our 1:00 appointment, and played hard at Jungle Gym for two hours prior, so he zonked out while we waited.
